PEI Occupational Health & Safety Regulations Presentation

The Presentation:

This session provided a general overview of the Prince Edward Island Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.  Specific focus was paid on areas of concern to professional engineers practicing in the province.  When to use proper fall arrest equipment, machine safeguarding, confined space safety, and personal protective equipment requirements were discussed.

About the Speaker:

Conrad Lelièvre, FEC, P.Eng., CRSP has over 35 years of industrial and consulting engineering experience.  Conrad has vast experience in occupational health and safety issues.  Some of his areas of interest include machine safeguarding, pressure vessel repairs and alterations, hoist and lifting equipment certification, as well as hazard assessments.  Conrad is a member of the Engineers Nova Scotia Public Safety Committee and has participated on several advisory committees relating to OH&S Regulations reviews with the Government of Nova Scotia.  Conrad has been a Registered Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia since 1978 and has been a holder of a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation since 2003.
